Forsythia

Pick out a lovely shade of blue paper and drop a generous "blob" of brown water color (water is the operative word here) on the bottom half. Give toddlers straw color of choice to blow said brown up the page like branches

Cut out squares of yellow tissue paper  and one at a time crinkle over the end of the straw, place a dot of glue over the tissue and then tissue on the branches.

Clip proudly onto the art wall in the kitchen,

Enjoy the beauty that is now inside and outside!

Nonni and Poppy

We rounded out our Easter with a visit and yummy dinner at Nonni and Poppy's house.  A change of clothes was in order before heading out, for our first round of Easter clothes had chocolate  and sugar remains all over them. I have NO idea how those got there! The kids hung out at the beautiful dogwood tree, picked flowers for N and P and played king of the mountain over an over. The dinner was complete with ham and deviled eggs, which B devoured too many to count. Three homes in one day made for a long one, but it is a reminder of how loved our little bunnies are and how thankful we are for that!

Next stop on the Easter Train

We always have new experiences when we visit Mickey and DeeDee. Easter afternoon was no exception. My Dad got out the mower and let the kids "drive" it around with him, blades up and smiles on. I am not sure who had more fun, but just check out the sweet smile B is flashing back at Mickey. Sometimes body language says it all. Love it!

E went picking flowers for Mommy in the field behind the house, what you do not see pictured is her running toward me with her bouquet in hand and proud as can be. I put the camera down to experience that one full stop.

A little soccer out back, and a walk to the barn to collect a few forgotten walnuts. Oh, how I love having land to visit!

And, leave it to SILLY DeeDee to give my son his first grill replacement in his Easter basket!!!

Complete with gold flavor flav teeth............

Cousins

It sure is nice to see them just loving each other instead of getting caught up in the drama that families tend to have during holidays.

Oh to be blissfully unaware.................

The Hunt

Two things I found so cute about the tag a longs hunting their eggs this year.

1

They both immediately found a special spot to plop their baskets, and ran from the basket, to the egg they found, then back to the basket again to place it. Too funny to watch...there was an obvious plan. Maybe this was because there was NO threat of someone taking their eggs

which leads me to

2

Both B and E came across eggs in the hunt that were obviously brought by the Easter Bunny for the boy or the girl in the house (ie, Spider man, Hello Kitty, Princess and Truck eggs)
Upon finding said eggs they hollered out to their sibling, stopped what they were doing and ran to brother/sister to lovingly hand over the goods.
(See Picture #3)

How cute is that???

Bunny See, Bunny Do?

It's a BIRD?
It's a PLANE?
NO, NO, it is the EASTER BUNNY!!!!
I better go check this out!!!!!
Almost there! Mommy, he looks so cute and furry!!!!
BUT......WOW.......He is REALLY BIG!!!!
This is close ENOUGH!!!!!
I will let my BIG, BRAVE brother sit on that MONSTER's lap!!!!!

Maybe next year baby girl? For I know one day your Dad-O won't have to protect you from the possible attack of the Easter Bunny!
