FrOsTy FUN!!!

On Saturday Dad-O and I split the kids up. We do this often to give them each one on one time with both their Mommy and Dad-O. B went to Wildcat and explored a new trail with Dad-O and E and I went shopping for a new dress (this is what "adventure" she asked for) in the am. After nap it was my turn to take B and Dad-O took E. B and I went and got a 1 dollar junior frosty and headed for the park, and Dad-O and E went to Shakes and spent 8 dollars for the same experience. Junior frostys are a great little treat to have in your back pocket, yummy and cheap. Funny enough, we all ended up at the same park for the afternoon. Ben was so anxious to play he left his frosty on the table, ran and played for 10 minutes or so, and would come back really quickly and grab a few bites. It was so cute to witness. Love that boy!

Movie Night Dado Style

Dad-O had the BIG idea to bring home a projector from the school on Saturday night. What a FABULOUS idea! Can you guess what {kids} watched for the first time on the "big screen?" Mommy had to put her spin on the evening as well, so pop corn was popped and M&M's were tossed on top of the bowl, sweet and salty and perfectly melty for a movie night snack. Who needs the theatre??? What a fun night.......I feel a tradition coming on. Thanks Dad-O!!!

Dollar Store FUN

Blue Glass Rocks, $1.00/bag of 30ish

Multi-pack stickers numbers and letters (upper and lower) all for $1.00

The future scholars helped me stick one of every letter upper and lower onto the rocks. We used black for the consonants and gold for the vowels. I, then, with the left over rocks made multiple copies of common letters and letters that would spell each of their names. Quickly they reminded me how young they are and how difficult it is for them to sit still. So we got out the magnifying glasses and raced from one side of the room where the rocks resided, to mommy on the other side hollering the word they were to "spell" and bring to me.

This and many other activities with the rocks are GREAT in theory for a 3 and 4 year old. But since then the rocks have just been a fun addition to the different play areas throughout our house. I have found them in the dollhouse, the restroom, under the cushions on the couch, in the kitchen, under my feet....countless times!

They are still getting exposure..right?

One Week to go!

My beautiful friend Brooke, who has ONE WEEK TO GO at Hobby Collector trusted me to capture her beautiful belly a few weeks ago. She is a very talented, wonderfully creative, mommy-to-be that I feel very blessed to have reconnected with over the past several months. I love the pictures we came up with! I say we, because I took some pictures where Brooke came up with some of the poses (which ended up in my favorites group for sure!)

I have decided that we make a pretty good team, Brooke and I. She has a masters degree in technology and is not afraid to try new things in Photoshop, and I have a {borderline} obsession with Photography, so together we could have stayed up all night tweaking the photographs and playing around. As she mentioned on her blog, if we had a Photoshop class....watch out world!!!

Ode to Pez

 So what if you are PURE sugar! You are so fun and so versatile! A handful of flavors magically turn into countless possibilities!!!! All I need is a collection of dispensers(Don't even ask how early my kids were able to say the word dispenser!) and the variety of colors you come in. I always keep you in my car and every so often change out your dispensers so they have an array of choices. Best part is, you do not melt, or go bad like most treats do. Thank you PEZ, I appreciate your ability to please, your versatility, and the smile you put on their faces.
